A FOREVER FRIEND

Sometimes in life
you find a special friend;
Someone who changes your life
just by being part of it.
 
Someone who makes you laugh
until you can't stop;
Someone who makes you believe
that there really is good in the world.
Someone who convinces you
that there really is an unlocked door
just waiting for you to open it.
This is Forever Friendship.
 
When you're down,
and the world seems dark and empty,

I Can

I can photograph the most intriguing of visions but what's the point
when the most captivating of all is right beside me?
I can run in the most prestigious of races but the greatest victory is
knowing that I brought a smile upon those lips.
I can compose the most soothing melody but your voice alone can outshine
the sweetest notes ever written.
I can think of the sugarcoated poems but your love alone is sweeter than
the most thought out poems ever formulated.
I don't have to venture far to hear the angels singing.
After all, I already am floating on a cloud.
I don't have to search for the riches of the world.
I already found the rarest of pearls.
I can climb the steepest of mountains but the toughest challenge is
being able to keep this love real.
I can design the most perfect human being yet still, nothing can ever
compare to you.
I will do everything just make you smile.
Even if my hands become wrinkled and eyes become weary,
as long as you're happy..it's all worthwhile..
